報告人簡介:

Dr. Eli Chapman possesses diverse and impressive academic background.He earned his position at College of Pharmacy, University of Arizona (UA) in 2012. From 2007 to 2012, he hadappointmentat The Scripps Research Institute.From 2002 to 2007, he gained NASA and HHMIpost-doctoral training with Prof. Art Horwich at Yale University School of Medicine where he did outstanding research on molecular chaperone-GroEL. From 1998 to 2002, He did Ph.D research on sulfotransferasesunder the supervision of Prof. Chi-Huey Wong at The Scripps Research Institute. In 1998, he gained his master degree in organic chemistry with Prof. James Leighton at Columbia University where he developed the first example of a transition metal catalyzed silylformylation reaction on an alkene as an entry into 1,3-polyols. From 1993 to 1996, he did undergraduate research on unnatural amino acid mutagenesis with Prof. Peter Schultz at UC Berkeley. Dr. Chapman, as one of the young leading scientists at UA, is aiming to solving challenged drug discovery problems by taking advantage of multi-disciplinary tools and worldwide collaborations.
