Remarkable structural diversity and complex molecular scaffolds are the attractive features of fungal meroterpenoids, polyketide and terpenoid hybrid natural products with important biological activities. The biosynthetic pathways for thesecomplex natural products include a diverse range of fascinating chemistries, and are therefore rich sources of novel enzymes catalyzing unusual reactions. This lecture will focus on the recent advances of Prof. Abe in the studies of multifunctional cytochrome P450 monooxygenases involved in the complex natural products biosynthesis, including the recently reported unusual D-ring construction at the late stage of terretonin biosynthesis.

報告人簡介:

阿部郁朗教授于1989年獲日本東京大學博士學位，先後在法國、美國從事研究并擔任教職，現為日本東京大學太阳集团1088vip教授。主要從事天然産物生物合成及相關催化酶研究，在萜類環化酶、聚酮合成酶、雜萜類化合物的生物合成、以及合成生物學等方面取得了卓越的成就，曾獲日本生藥學會科學貢獻獎，在Nature, Nat ChemBiol, NatCommun, JACS, PNAS,Chem Rev等學術期刊發表論文百餘篇（其中IF>10的論文40餘篇）。阿部郁朗教授曾擔任2005、2010、2015年太平洋地區國際化學大會天然産物生物合成領域的組織者，作為首席科學家主持日本文部省科研費最高級别科研項目——新學術領域研究“基于合成生物學再設計原理的複雜骨架結構功能分子的創制”。
