The team focuses on developing medicinal instruments and their application in pharmaceutical analysis and clinical examination.

Major research interests
(1) System of microfluidic chip and capillary electrophoresis;

Team members
The team is headed by Prof. Zuanguang Chen, and is staffed with two associate professors, one senior lecturer, one assistant professor, six cooperated researchers and about twenty graduate students. Thirty of graduate students have finished school and received their PhD or master degrees. The team is collaborating with groups from the tens of universities, institutes and enterprises.

Facilities
The team labs are equipped with chip manufacturers, capillary electrophoresis and microfluidic chip, pharmaceutical analysis and screening devices, microfluidic drug synthesis devices, computer workstations, microfluidic chip analyzers, capillary electrophoresis analyzers, HPLC, special chip devices, various types of machining and electrical inspection equipment, and home-made instruments.

Achievements
The team has seven research projects funded by the government. More than 130 papers have been published in peer-reviewed journals and 10 patents are authorized. A series of capillary electrophoresis and microfluidic analysis system have been developed and applied in pharmaceutical analysis, drug screening, and clinical examination in some organizations. New methods of pharmaceutical analysis and screening based on capillary electrophoresis and microfluidics have been established.
