Guangdong Innovative Drug Industry Technology Innovation Alliance

Areas of Study:
Breakthrough of key techniques of new drug screening and evaluation，Perfect the research and development chain of new drug，Promote the innovation ability of bio-pharmaceutical industries in Guangdong province.
The “Guangdong Innovative Drug Industry Technology Innovation Alliance” was approved by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology in March 2012 and has become a provincial level Pilot Alliance.

Core Facilities: 
School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS) at Sun Yat-sen University acts as the secretary-general member. The first league contracting party has 20, including 4 universities, 6 research institutes, hospitals two, and eight bio-pharmaceutical enterprises.
With technology support from Sun Yat-sen University, the alliance is in close relations with all major universities, colleges, large backbone enterprise for research or manufacturing of new drug.

Main Goals: 
We mainly focus on setting up the platform for cooperative research and development through the implementation of “industry-school- research” cooperation program with clear targets for the development of key technologies relating to bio-pharmaceutical industries and the innovation relating to some common and difficult technologies; the transformation of the scientific achievements and technology radiation of the alliance will safeguard the healthy and rapid development of the bio-pharmaceutical industries in China.
