The research of the center is mainly focused on pharmaceutical product development and theoretical innovation for drug delivery systems.

Core Facilities:
The center possesses 661.7 m2 well-facilitated research laboratories, and the center is equipped with pilot production instruments, including Fluidized bed, Ultra-fine Particle Processing System, High-performance coating machine, Centrifugal granulation coating machine, Spay-dryer, Jet mill, High Pressure Homogenizer, StabilityChambers, Automated  Dissolution  TestAnalyzer.

Main Goals: 
Guangdong Research Center for Innovative Pharmaceutical Formulations and Drug Delivery Systems was established in 2008.The center has achieved remarkable success by establishing and developing the following technique platforms for drug delivery systems: (1) Controlled and Sustained Delivery System; (2) Targeting Delivery System; (3) Transdermal Delivery System; (4) Nanometer Delivery Systems; and (5) Technology Modernization for Traditional Chinese Medicine.
