Abstract:

Protein synthesis and gene transcription are fundamental molecular processes for long-lasting synaptic plasticity.  Professor Tang will first discuss his recent work that aims to understand the regulatory mechanisms underlying activity-dependent protein synthesis in hippocampal neurons. In the second part of the talk, Tang will discuss the functional genomic analysis that leads to the discovery of the activity-regulated Wntsignaling at synapses.
