Sittin' on the back porch singin'
'bout the good things life should be bringin' home.
I wonder why so many friends are stuck.
their jobs, their lives dead ends?
I pray to God to ease the pain
I pray for thunder, pray for lightning
Pray for rain
I wish we all could catch a breeze
To float a bit, to feel the ease...
We'd gather like the autumn leaves and play
And, play and play and play and play and play
and play and play and play and play
Runnin' out and Runnin' down
Still jumpin in and start again
Sittin' on the back porch singin'
'Bout the good things life should be bringin' home.
I call the ligtning, made the rain
Thunder crashed my innocence died in vain
The storm had come, I cast the breeze
The wind she rose, and on my knees
I pray to God Almighty please
Make it go away! Away away away away away away
Burnin' out and burnin' down
Here today then blown away...
